Rapper Lil’ Wayne was rushed to hospital yesterday (August 21st), after an accident involving a skateboard.
According to Fox2 News in Missouri, Lil Wayne was in St. Louis, performing at the Verizon wireless amphitheater. He visited a local skateboard park, where the accident occurred.
Lil Wayne required 9 stitches to close the wound, after he crashed at a local skateboard park.

This past weekend at NBA basketball player Josh Howard’s Celebrity Weekend in Dallas, Texas, AllHipHop.com caught up with Grand Hustle comedian and Twitter celebrity, Lil’ Duval.
Lil’ Duval is currently hard at work on a tour around the country making special appearances at select dates and is working on a new television show with MTV centered around his travels across the country.
“We stay on the road trying to make the world laugh, the whole country, staying on the road doing what I do best,” Lil Duval told AllHipHop.com.
Lil’ Duval plans to expose Hip-Hop fans to places and things they might not have otherwise seen, while giving fans a new perspective on the realities of the world.
“I shot a couple of films and I got the show with MTV that we just finished, hopefully that will be out by August,” Lil Duval told AllHipHop.com. “It’s a travel show and we go to places you don’t normally see ni**as. I get tired of people thinking that the only thing there is to do is go to the club, so I try to show another side to let people know there’s other stuff out there.”
In the brief interview AllHipHop asked Duval a few questions about some of his favorite comedians that may have influenced his stand up routine or his career in general.
Duval acknowledged that Chris Rock helped inspire the development of his stand up routine.
“I guess I learned from all the ones that’s doing good,” Lil Duval told AllHipHop.com. “I mean, I think the one that impressed me most was probably Chris Rock, the way he goes about working his show, and building his show.”
Lil Duval also gave Grand Hustle fans an update on Atlanta based rapper and actor T.I., who is currently still incarcerated until September 29th for violating his parole for possession of marijuana and ecstasy pills.
“I think he ate breakfast this morning,” Lil Duval said. “He’s in jail. He gets out this year, so when he gets out, he gonna do the damn thing. So it is what it is, shit…. what can he do.”

Chicago rapper Rhymefest was recently released from the hospital, after unexpectedly being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
The rapper was rushed to the hospital over the weekend, after falling ill.
When he arrived at the hospital doctors diagnosed him as a diabetic.
“I’m back y’all, thanks 4the prayers and well wishers,” Rhymefest tweeted today (June 6th). “I got released from the hospital over the weekend. Diabetes is manageable so I’m good.”
According to Rhymefest, the health scare has left him more educated about his diet, nutrition and eating habits.
“Got a new diet, work out plan and lease on life. Gotta get off this insulin,” the rapper said. Continue reading
LRG co-founder Jonas Bevacqua was found dead earlier today (May 31st), according to reports.
While details are still coming in about that the cause of his death, the clothing mogul was found dead in Los Angeles, at the age of 34.
Robert Wright, the co-founder of LRG, confirmed the news via his Twitter account today.
“woke up at 8am to the worst news I’ve heard in my lifetime…my best man,” Wright tweeted.
Jonas Bevacqua and Wright founded LRG in 1999.
By 2000, the company was an established brand, that was turning millions in profit.

The McDonald’s employee who stood by and videotaped the beating of a patron at a Maryland restaurant has been fired, according to a statement released this afternoon by the franchise owner.
Vernon Hackett, 22, was canned in the face of a torrent of publicity about the brutal April 18 attack, which Hackett filmed on a cell phone and uploaded to his YouTube channel. Lil Wayne was reportedly released from the Rikers Island prison facility after serving eight months of a year-long sentence for attempted gun possession. Though a guard told MTV News early Thursday morning that he had to wait another day due to “miscalculated” time, at 8:35 a.m. a spokesperson at Rikers confirmed that Wayne had been discharged.
